Betsy- I am still waiting for the pharm company to appprove me. I am pretty annoyed with my Dr. office. My insurance told me that if I could have my Dr. bill as medical and have them give the injecttions it would be covered. Instead it has been billed as rx and my yearly rx allowance is only $800...you do the math! ( :
The Dr. refuses to have the meds shipped to them and said this was my "last resort" so I am at the mercy of the pharm company I guess. :(

Erin, that really stinks. I wonder why the doc refuses to give you the shot. It is so stupid and unfeeling. I'm sure that he has a nurse that can administer it. I hope that you get good news very soon.

They claim they cannot receive OR store the drugs at their office. They said it would be illegal??! Weird.

That is weird. I never heard of that. Doesn't he have any injectables in his office? One would think that he would have some life saving meds at least. I just have never heard of a doc who doesn't. It could be that he would have to have a special refrigerator to put the drugs in. I used to have drugs shipped to my urologist when I had bladder cancer. Maybe I am just ignorant of the law. I hope that you can get the meds from the pharmaceutical company.
