OK, for the first time in years, my ALT has plummeted to an almost-normal of 40!! It was 105 a month ago.

Now, the WBC count has also gone down...from 4.2 a month ago to 2.9 today

And PLT count has gone down from 207 last month to 110 today

GFR has gone up from 83 a month ago to 161 today (but creatinine is normal)

All others were normal...I guess the issues that concern me are the kidney function tests...and the low WBC

Waiting for the Doc to email me back about this... all in all, I feel good, so this surprises me!

Hi Betsy. The first weeks of tx really put your body into what I would consider shock mode. Just hang in there and continue to feel good. My doc puts it this way to me-if I didn't know that you had Hep C , I wouldn't know that you had Hep C. My bloods are always good, ans AST and ALT have never ever been terribly out of range on treatment or off. Make sure that you do drink lots of water, and I'm sure that susie will be able to give you more info. Make sure that you get plenty of rest, and on the other hand be as active as you can-which sounds pretty stupid when i am writing this, but I know that you understand what I mean. You are such an active woman and that counts for an awful lot in your favor. Sending LO6bigHug02HL2.gif and fingerscrossed1.gif

Thanks Judi, I have been in touch with Susie and my Doc now and all of this is pretty normal for someone on treatment. I am actually staying active...walking the dog 4 times a day, doing a little trail-riding on my horse, and even raking the yard! I am still off work, with lots of time on my hands and I cannot sit still for very long...so the little bursts of energy get used well! I am doing the water thing...8-10 cups a day, and I think it makes a big difference!
